Pavarotti sings duets with two of his most soulful friends

24 Sep

The Pavarotti & friends concerts were held in Pavarotti’s home town Modena in Italy. These concerts gave us many surprising Pavarotti duets.

Here is Pavarotti singing together with two of his most soulful friends: Barry White (from the 2001 concert for Afghanistan) and James Brown (from the 2002 concert for Angola).

My impression is that these two duets is very popular especially among young people, as they are often posted on Twitter and on other social media.

Was it Barry White that was Black Pavarotti, or should this title go to James Brown? You decide!

Only the Afghanistan concert has been issued on CD, and only as a covermount CD in Italy. It’s quite rare to find now, so if you do find it someday, just buy it! Both concerts were broadcasted on TV, but no DVDs of the concerts have been issued so far.
